Before Nintendo took the non-gamer world by storm with the Wii, Sony was already pulling in the masses with Singstar. The game successfully combines the relatively niche pastime of video gaming and crowd pulling popularity of karaoke.
Since then many iterations of the singing sensation have come and gone, each one offering little in the way of gameplay innovation. However, they still sell by the truckloads because Sony were canny enough to include a mixture of classics and current hits.
Singstar Vol 2 is no different and whether it will appeal to any given player/singer depends on their personal musical taste. there are well known songs and some less well known. There are classics from George Michael, Hot Chocolate, Spandau Ballet and The Killers to name a few.
The track list is backed up by excellent presentation and variety of game models including the new Harmony Duet mode. This is definately a must for any party - invite your friends around and have a ball.
